Bugs in Power Apps - how to raise a ticket

Have you found a bug in Power Platform and you are now unsure how to proceed? Here's what to do...

Encountering a bug in Power Platform can be frustrating, especially when you're unsure where to turn for support. I’ve been there too - trying to figure out the best way to report an issue felt like solving another problem entirely. For years, Microsoft recommended raising Power Platform issues through their community forums. However, searching “PowerApps raise a bug” often leads to outdated articles from as far back as 2018. Without a direct way to contact the Product Team, I frequently resorted to workarounds instead of reporting the problem. Thankfully, things have changed! There are now better, more effective options available - though they’re not yet widely known. 1️⃣ New feature: Raise Feedback Directly in Power Automate In a recent update, Microsoft introduced a smiley face emoji in the Power Automate interface's top bar. This new feature allows you to provide feedback, share suggestions, or even send compliments about the tool. What makes this particularly powerful is its ability to automatically include logs and screenshots, making it easier for Microsoft to investigate and address your feedback. 2️⃣ Report Bugs Through the Admin Center This method offers robust ticketing capabilities and easily connects you to Technical or Advisory support. As Power Platform is a huge product itself the process is quite guided and offers an additional, mandatory layer of support with Copilot. I found it quite useful as it automatically checks both forums for solution proposals and known issues to let you know if anything that Microsoft is working on may be causing your problems. This was not at all irritating as you can easily skip automated support and quickly proceed with raising a ticket. 3️⃣ Check the Known Issues List in the Admin Center Before raising a ticket, you can also manually check the "Known Issues" section in the Admin Center. This is a hidden gem for developers and admins that can illustrate how big Power Platform really is - at the time of writing there are 144 active issues just on Power Apps and Power Automat themselves! Microsoft actively updates this list with issues they’re trying to resolve. It saves time, avoids duplication of effort, and keeps you informed about product status. Plus, you might find workarounds for issues you're experiencing while waiting for fixes. 👇 Direct link to Raising a Ticket and Known Issues in the description 👇 ___ 👉 Report Bugs Through the Admin Center: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support/requests 👉 Check the Known Issues List in the Admin Center: https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/support/knownIssues
