All the Places You Can Find Samples of Power Platform Solutions

If you’re building Power Apps solutions, there’s one truth you’ll quickly learn - you are faster by not starting from scratch. No matter if it's a simple header, a menu component, a popup, or something more advanced, someone has probably built something like what you’re envisioning - often, they’ve shared it for free!

The Power Platform community is generous and growing, and Microsoft is continually investing in making solution samples more accessible. Whether you're prototyping, looking for reusable components, or trying to understand architectural best practices, here’s a guide to the _real places_ you should be looking when building Power Platform solutions! ## Externally Owned Repositories Let’s start outside Microsoft. These are often passion projects, community-driven, and fast-moving. You’ll find some real gems here that may not be found in standard Microsoft references. ### Power Apps Tools [Power Apps Tools](https://www.linkedin.com/company/powerappstools/) is designed to help Power Apps developers enhance their apps by providing easy access to tools, code snippets, and utilities. Repository collects YAML (Canvas Apps), Power FX, and Power Automate copy-pastable code snippets, SharePoint JSON formatting samples, Web Resource samples, SVG and Icon generators, and internal Leaderboard. Everything is covered with an extra layer of cuteness, represented by an army of capybaras. ![Jan Chlebek’s Power Apps Tools profile](./Media/Power%20Apps%20Tools.png) My profile in Power Apps Tools The repository is fully developed and curated by [Leonardo Russo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/leonardorrusso/) and [Rudimar Baesso Althof](https://www.linkedin.com/in/rudimar/). > Visit [Power Apps Tools](https://www.linkedin.com/company/powerappstools/) [Power Apps Tools](https://www.linkedin.com/company/powerappstools/) using: [https://powerappstools.com/](https://powerappstools.com/) ### PCF Gallery If you’re building custom controls using the Power Apps Component Framework (PCF), the [PCF Gallery](https://www.linkedin.com/company/pcfgallery/) is essential. It’s community-run, regularly updated, and covers most of the components you could imagine for both Power Apps (Model-driven & Canvas) and Power Pages. Gallery was launched more than 6 years ago and is currently covering 500 components published by more than 300 authors. Despite the age, it's still being worked on, recently with the addition of a Store page for paid PCFs. ![PCF Gallery home page](./Media/PCF%20Gallery.png) PCF Gallery home page This repository is maintained by [Guido Preite](https://www.linkedin.com/in/guidopreite/). > Visit [PCF Gallery](https://www.linkedin.com/company/pcfgallery/) using: [https://pcf.gallery/](https://pcf.gallery/) --- ### Sample Solution Gallery (Microsoft Community Owned) Let's switch to what [Microsoft](https://www.linkedin.com/company/microsoft/) has with the extension of [Microsoft 365 & Power Platform Community](https://www.linkedin.com/company/m365pnp/) has for us in store. There are a few places to look at, which often got me confused - here's a quick summary for you. Getting started requires knowledge of the Sample Solution Gallery ([https://](https://aka.ms/community/samples)[_aka_](https://aka.ms/community/samples)[.](https://aka.ms/community/samples)[_ms_](https://aka.ms/community/samples)[/community/samples](https://aka.ms/community/samples)), which is a central hub that lists most of the snippets from PNP repositories for Microsoft 365 products. You will find here not only samples for Power Platform, but also SharePoint, Microsoft Graph, Adaptive Cards, and many more! Looking further, there are some important repositories specific to Power Platform to be covered: ### PNP Power Platform Snippets These are small, focused code examples: think of them as Power Platform “recipes.” Perfect for quick references when you're trying to remember how to do something like trigger a flow from a custom connector or write a FetchXML query. It's similar to what [Power Apps Tools](https://www.linkedin.com/company/powerappstools/) targets, but on a broader scale. ![Power Platform code snippet examples](./Media/PNP%20Snippets.png) Here are a few examples of available code snippets > Browse Power Platform Snippets: - Official GitHub repository: [https://aka.ms/powerplatform-snippets](https://aka.ms/powerplatform-snippets) - Solution Gallery: [https://aka.ms/power-snippets](https://aka.ms/power-snippets) ### PNP Power Platform Samples These go a step further: full solutions, no matter if small or large, including canvas apps, model-driven apps, flows, and even integrations with other Microsoft 365 services. Ideal if you want to study how the parts fit together. ![Power Platform sample landing page](./Media/PNP%20Samples.png) When browsing the Power Platform Gallery, each component you see has a landing page > Browse Power Platform Samples: - Official GitHub repository: [https://aka.ms/powerplatform-samples](https://aka.ms/powerplatform-samples) - Solution Gallery: [https://aka.ms/power-samples](https://aka.ms/power-samples) ### PNP Power Platform Prompts These are AI-focused prompt samples designed to work with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and other AI features within the Power Platform. Whether you’re designing Copilot-enhanced apps or just getting started with natural language interfaces, these samples show you how to structure prompts effectively and responsibly. ![Sample documentation in the PnP GitHub repository](./Media/PNP%20GitHub.png) Each component in PNP repositories has a full write-up on GitHub > Browse Power Platform Prompts: - Official GitHub repository: [https://aka.ms/powerplatform-prompts](https://aka.ms/powerplatform-prompts) - Solution Gallery: [https://aka.ms/power-prompts](https://aka.ms/power-prompts) --- ### Architecture Centers (Microsoft Owned) Solution samples are one thing - solution architecture is another. As your Power Apps projects grow, you’ll need guidance on scalability, security, and governance. If you are starting something bigger, looking at how other solutions were architected may help you avoid some of the problems. ### Azure Architecture Center This center isn’t just for cloud architects. It includes full-stack diagrams, implementation guides, and reference architectures, many of which intersect with Power Platform. It is the main reference for everything on Microsoft Architecture. ![Azure reference architecture browser](./Media/Azure%20Architecture%20Center.png) Azure architectures browser > Visit Azure Architecture Center: [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/) ### Microsoft Power Platform and Copilot Studio Architecture Center A recent addition to the pack is a dedicated center just for Power Platform and Copilot Studio stuff. It's simpler than Azure one, but similarly, it’s not just for architects - solution makers, admins, and developers will benefit from the practical diagrams, checklists, and decision trees provided. You can also find some full-blown solutions! Whether you're planning your first scalable Power Apps deployment or modernizing a legacy business process with Copilot Studio, this is the place to go to understand better how to map your blueprints. ![Power Platform reference architecture listings](./Media/Power%20Platform%20Architecture%20Center.png) Currently listed reference architectures for Power Platform > Visit Power Platform and Copilot Studio Architecture Center: [https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/architecture/](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/architecture/) --- ### Other ways to go Here’s a simple truth: the community is bigger than **any** curated list. If you're not finding what you were looking for, just search for it - you will find even more great resources! GitHub is full of individual repositories by MVPs and enterprise devs sharing the tools they use daily. Personal blogs often host niche solutions, deep dives, or experiments that never make it to official galleries. --- 💬 _Do you have a favorite sample repo I didn’t mention here? Drop it in the comments - let’s grow this list together._
