Pay As You Go Consumption Caps Coming to Power Platform - Microsoft Power Platform Admins rejoice! Following on MC1451872, starting in public preview on August 22, 2026, Microsoft will add the ability to track Granular Copilot credit consumption and Pay As You Go (PAYG) consumption caps in the Power Platform admin center. Users can view enhanced Copilot credit consumption metrics for both agents and users within an environment. They can also set per-user capacity limits to control credit usage and apply PAYG consumption caps across workloads. Indicators will show when usage is nearing or exceeding those limits, helping users spot anomalies, track trends, and allocate credits more effectively. This feature looks really promising. At the current state of **#CopilotStudio**, it was really hard for me to recommend Enterprises any other management strategy than a single agent per environment. This is a huge step forward as it introduces a control method over PAYG budgets, which in some scenarios meant really hard bills to swallow - bills that were hard to determine and control no matter your scale of operations. I'm really hoping that soon API endpoint access will follow, enabling further Copilot Credits automation, as it's already announced that during **#PPCC** in October there will be 2 sessions on Copilot Studio Governance: πŸ‘‰ Agentic Governance: Secure, Govern, and Operate Your Power Platform at Scale by Gregg Barker, Lane Swenka, Reza Dorrani and Sanket Vasa πŸ‘‰Managed Security: Securing and Governing Apps, Automations, and Agents at Scale by Gregg Barker and Lane Swenka ___ More insights on this post: πŸ‘‰ Microsoft Admin Center Message: https://admin.cloud.microsoft/?ref=MessageCenter/:/messages/MC1451872 πŸ‘‰#PPCC Session memo: Managed Security: Securing and Governing Apps, Automations, and Agents at Scale: https://powerplatformconf.com/sessions/Managed-Security%3A-Securing-and-Governing-Apps%2C-Automations%2C-and-Agents-at-Scale πŸ‘‰#PPCC Session memo: Agentic Governance: Secure, Govern, and Operate Your Power Platform at Scale: https://powerplatformconf.com/sessions/Agentic-Governance%3A-Secure%2C-Govern%2C-and-Operate-Your-Power-Platform-at-Scale
